Coumadin Education Class

There is so much to know about Coumadin! Did you know that there are over 200 medications that can interact with Coumadin? Plus, you need special information on how your herbal supplements, diet and state of health can affect your Coumadin blood level.

To make sure that you know all you need to know, when you enroll in the Anticoagulation Clinic you will be scheduled for an information session. Other patients who are taking Coumadin will also be attending, so it is a great opportunity to hear other's questions and get your own questions answered.

There will be a slide presentation followed by a question and answer period. The session will last approximately one hour. Refreshments will be provided.

After your provider makes a referral for you to attend the Anticoagulation Clinic, a receptionist will telephone you to schedule your information session. You will also need a separate appointment to have your blood tested. The blood test appointment will only take 15-20 minutes.

The Coumadin information sessions are held in our Thunderbird Clinic, Suite 201 on the first Thursday of the month from 1:00pm to 2:00pm; and, alternatively on the 3rd Thursday of each month at our Sun City West Clinic, 3rd floor conference room, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm.

The telephone number for the Anticoagulation Clinic is 623-876-3890.

Parking is available in front of both clinics. There is also an elevator available to take you to the second floor. Watch for signs to direct you to Suite 201.
